24/7 Chat Research Help is coming to CSUDH!

by Maggie Clarke on 2020-05-05T15:03:00-07:00 | 0 Comments

Beginning May 8th, 2020 CSUDH users will have access to chat with a librarian 24/7 through a new librarian chat co-op! This means you can use the chat window on our website to chat live with a librarian about your research questions whenever you are working on your research—even at night and on weekends.

Does this mean I can talk to one of our awesome CSUDH librarians any time?

Close, but not quite. Our CSUDH librarians will still be available on chat from Monday-Thursday from 8am-6pm and Friday from 10am-4pm. Outside of those hours you will be connected to a real live librarian, but they may be based at a sister CSU campus or another university or library. They will still be able to provide much of the same research help as our DH librarians though!

What kinds of things can I get help with via chat?

Chatting with a librarian is a great way to get quick help with your research. We are happy to help with any research or library-related questions including defining your topic, finding articles, books, and other sources to support your research, making citations, and more!

Find out more about what you can expect from chatting with a librarian here.

What if I would rather talk to a librarian from CSUDH?

Though our partner librarians are willing and able to help with all kinds of research questions, if you would rather talk to a librarian working here at DH you can always chat with us from Monday-Thursday from 8am-6pm and Friday from 10am-4pm. You can also email us or schedule an appointment for one-on-one research help!
