As you enter the South side of the building, you'll find the Research Help Desk on your right. 

Librarians can get you started during any stage of the research process, whether it's exploring your topic, finding and evaluating sources, formatting citations, and more. You can:

You can chat with a librarian 24/7 from the library's website and databases! You'll be chatting with a CSUDH librarian Monday - Thursday from 8am-6pm and Fridays from 10am-4pm. Outside of those hours you will be connected to a real live librarian but they may be based at a sister CSU campus or another university library.

Need more help with research? We also offer online research consultations for 30 minutes or 1 hour over Zoom! After you schedule a research appointment with a librarian, you will receive a confirmation email with the date and time of your appointment and a Zoom link. Use this link at the time of your appointment to join the online meeting room.

The Mancillas Courtyard is also located nearby the Research Help Desk across from the stairs to the 3rd floor of the library. Work outside and charge your devices here using the solar powered umbrellas. You can also charge your phone in lockers on the main floor.

Look out for campus and online library events! Stress Relief for Finals activities in the courtyard typically include coloring, button making, and time with therapy pets!

The Mancillas Courtyard is a great place for a meal! Do your part to keep the facilities tidy and discard your trash! Read our food policy.

Across from the Research Help Desk on your left you'll find our 49 seat computer area.

Login to the computers using your CSUDH username and password, the same one you use for Blackboard and other campus services.

You can print at the library in B&W for $0.15 per page.

1.  Log on to a library computer. 

2. Print your document.

3. Head over to a GoPrint station along the wall.

4. Choose your username from the list and add cash or coins.

Scanners are also located in the computing area and copiers can be found upstairs on the 3rd floor. 

If your instructor scheduled a library instruction session, it will be in one of our classrooms nearby!

Use the stairs of the elevators on the South side to get to the upper levels of Library South.
