Accessing Research After Graduation

Accessing Research After Graduation

Congratulations graduate! We’re so excited for you!

But did you know that when you leave CSUDH, the access you've enjoyed to many research databases will come to an end? So what happens when you have a need for quality research after graduation for an internship or career, but aren't enrolled in a university?

Google Scholar is great, but only gets you so far before you run into a price tag. Thankfully, more and more researchers are making their work available to all for free, and we can help you find it.

Not sure where to start?

  • Check out available freely available Open Access Resources such as the Directory of Open Access Journals, PubMed Central, and SocArxiv.
  • Visit our Tech Tools section to find out more about tools that can help you find freely available versions of articles as you search.
  • Learn how to set up journal alerts to stay informed about current research in your field by clicking the Keeping Current tab to the left.

CSUDH Alumni Association

CSUDH Alumni Association Members have access to additional library services. Members may check out up to 5 books at a time, and access library databases while using campus WiFi and from the two reserved workstations in the IT computer lab located on the first floor of the North library building in room G149.
