What are Course Reserves?
Course reserves are typically textbooks but also other materials that your professor sets aside at a desk in the library for the whole class to use. We keep library books, books from your professor, and some rented textbooks behind the desk and lend them out for no more than 2 hours so everyone in your class has the opportunity to use the same materials.
Does the library have the textbook for every class?
No, only some classes. But you can always search for the title of your textbook or the ISBN in OneSearch to see if it's available at Course Reserves or as a library ebook!
How do you know if a textbook is available on reserve?
Change the drop menu on the library's homepage from OneSearch to Course Reserves (CSUDH):

You can search for course reserves by book title, professor name, or course details.
Check that it's available, then make a note of the call number (e.g. LA 212.G65 2014) or course reserve information (RAMSER / ENG 110 / NGUYEN) and ask for it at the Course Reserves Desk. Course reserves may also be available online to read as an ebook.

Where is the Course Reserves Desk?
The Course Reserves Desk is on the main floor of the library near the main entrance.
