On January 2022, the 23 CSU libraries agreed to use the Rapido service from Ex Libris, proving a central location where you can find the materials through OneSearch (the Library Catalog).
When is the update happening?
Rapido will be enabled on Monday June 13, 2022. During this time, please bear with us in the following days as we perform live tests and enable a seamless user experience.
How long will this all take?
We hope to get everything up and ready within 24 hours
Why are we updating?
Rapido streamlines the Resource Sharing process by expanding the amount of material available through OneSearch. With Rapido, physical materials from outside CSUDH will be easily available using the same process as CSU+. Articles and book chapter scans will also be available for request directly from the library catalog.
How do I request books and articles?
What else has changed?
Will this cost me anything?
No! Requests made through Rapido and other interlibrary loan services will still be complementary for CSUDH faculty, staff, and students!
How long can I keep books?
You can see how long your lending period is when you request an item or in your account
Is anything else affected, like OneSearch/CSU+ or our databases? What about the website?
All of our other online services are unaffected
Is there somewhere that has more information about resource sharing?
Check out our interlibrary loan guide here
I still need help!
