Course Reserves

What is Course Reserves?
Course Reserves are class materials like textbooks and articles that professors request be kept separately from the main collection and have shorter loan periods so that everyone in the class has a chance to use them.
Does the library have the textbooks for every class?
No, only select classes have textbooks at Course Reserves.
How do you know if a textbook is available?
Use the Course Reserves search tool on the library website under Services.
What else do I need to know?
The Course Reserves desk can be very busy, and it is helpful for students to have the call number ready when they come to the desk. View the tutorial below to see how to look up the call number (shelf location) using the library's Course Reserves search tool.
