Have you ever wanted to grow your own food? Now you can with the help of our new Seed Library! We have seeds for all kinds of gardeners no matter your skill level or experience growing.

We provide seeds for vegetables and flowers to the CSUDH students, faculty, staff, and members of the community. seed library catalog Help keep our seed library renewable! We welcome donations of seeds from the successful plants you've grown. Our collection helps promote food and climate justice within our community. Adjacent to the seed cabinet you'll find a curated collection of seed and gardening related books available for check-out. The CSUDH Seed Library prioritizes heirloom or open-pollinated edible plants that are well-suited to growing conditions in the Los-Angeles Metro Area (USDA Hardiness Zones 9 & 10). We also strive to provide culturally relevant seed types, recognizing the diverse populations and gardening knowledge of our neighbors across the Southern California region and their plant traditions.

Want to learn more? We have two tabling events coming up where you can grab some seeds, make your own pot to grow your seeds in our of newspaper, and chat with our librarians.

Ready to save your own seeds? Join us for an online seed saving workshop on Feb 22nd at 1pm.
