The California State University (CSU) Libraries understand that the COVID-19 crisis has disrupted the lives of CSU students and faculty in many ways. Hence we want to make it as easy as possible for you to return library materials to us with minimum stress. Here are the basics about returning library books during the current crisis.
All due dates, for any CSU books checked out from any CSU library, have been extended until December 14, 2020. We are monitoring state and county shelter-in-place ordinances, and will continue to extend the due dates if conditions warrant it. We encourage you to keep your checked out books until your campus library reopens. However, if you need to return your books now, you can bring them to any CSU campus library that has their bookdrops open and accepting returns.
You can return your books to any CSU campus library regardless of where you initially checked them out. The CSU libraries have a cooperative agreement ensuring that books will be sent to the appropriate location. Some campus libraries may not have their bookdrops open; please check the website for the campus library that you wish to visit to make sure you can return your materials (contact information below).
Please contact Library User Services at (310) 243-3712 or by email at circulation@csudh.edu if you are unable to return your books by August 31.
For questions about laptops borrowed from CSUDH's Laptop Loan program, please contact CSUDH IT's Laptop Loan program directly.
