Summer 2021 Update from Library User Services

by Joanna Kimmitt on 2021-05-19T14:20:00-07:00 | 0 Comments

As we transition from the Spring 2021 semester to summer services, we have a few brief updates to share with you!

Returning Books

Wondering how to return the library books you don’t need any more? Book drops are still open on campus! For those of you with books due back May 25th, 2021, please know that we are no longer extending material due dates on a blanket basis. Please call Library User Services at  (310) 243-3712 (preferred) or email circulation@csudh.edu to get assistance with evaluating your account and extending due dates to give you time to return the items.

Not sure when your books are due? Log into your library account, click on your name in the upper-right hand corner, and navigate to "My Loans" to check the due dates on your books!

Book drop.If you were not registered for classes in Spring 2020, Summer 2020, or Fall 2020, or Spring 2021 please note that all of your books are due because your account is now expired (or about to expire). Please use the bookdrops to return your items. We will be checking them intermittently over the next two weeks. If you can’t get to campus, you can also mail your books or drop them into a bookdrop at a CSU campus near you (except CSULA; they are still completely closed). Call Library User Services (310) 243-3712 or email circulation@csudh.edu to get the correct address for mailing materials or help in locating a bookdrop at your nearest CSU campus library.

24/7 Locker Service, CSU+, & Interlibrary Loan

We're taking a short break in fulfilling physical item requests to plan for our fall service model. Any requests for physical materials from the CSUDH collections, CSU+, and Interlibrary Loan submitted between 1pm on May 21st and 9am on June 7th will be fulfilled starting the week of June 7th. However, interlibrary loan requests for electronic copies of journal articles and book chapters will continue to be processed.
