The University Archives serves as the institutional memory of the university and is a key source for campus history and present day activities of life at DH. The CSUDH Transformational Excellence Initiative, 2012-2030 is a project of the University Library and the Gerth Archives and Special Collections Department that seeks to capture DH’s transformation into a model urban university.
The initiative will document a multidimensional story of campus history, beginning with the last decade that has ushered in a wave of major changes within both the campus and the the greater South Los Angeles community. The project will provide support for campus offices as they organize their records and prepare them for transfer to the University Archives for long term preservation.
