Open Journal Systems (OJS) at CSUDH

Introduction

OJS is a roles-based system. Tasks are assigned to a role; users can have one (or more) roles depending on the tasks they need to perform. Roles available in OJS include Journal Manager, Editor, Section Editor, Copyeditor, Layout Editor, Proofreader, Author, Reviewer, Reader, and Subscription Manager (not used at CSUDH, as our journals are all open access).

Although the documents below are comprehensive, some files may be written to a specific workflow and hence not applicable in all circumstances. Documentation provided here covers only a portion of the workflow tasks in OJS. Please contact us at dospina@csudh.edu if you have any questions or would like documentation specific to your journal.
