CSUDH Class Schedule Cover 1978-1979

The university has printed catalogs on an annual or biennial basis since 1965, when classes were first offered at Dominguez Hills. Each catalog is a snapshot of the institution at that given time, offering information about admissions, academic and program requirements, courses, administration and faculty, organizations, and campus services, as well as other information related to the university’s mission and educational objectives. Many catalogs have photographs that, while often not identified, still offer glimpses of campus life. Taken as a whole, this collection charts the growth of the institution from a small college holding classes in a bank building to its current status as a thriving and vital urban university.

Similarly, class schedules have been printed for the coming academic term (originally quarters, later semesters) since the college opened. They constitute the official record of courses offered in four major areas (University, Summer Session, Extended Education, and Statewide Nursing). In addition to listing available classes and their location, they often provide information about registration, tuition, student services, and campus policies.
